Internet Marketing Company: Amtrak Train Derailment

Six people died and over 140 were injured Tuesday night when an Amtrak commuter train derailed and rolled onto its side in the Port Richmond section of Philadelphia.  The train, which was travelling from Washington D.C. to New York, was carrying 238 passengers and five crew members.  Injured passengers have been transported to various hospitals throughout Philadelphia for treatment.  At least ten passengers are in critical condition.

The National Transportation Safety Board is investigating the derailment.  It is not yet known how or why the Amtrak train derailed.  By Wednesday morning, investigators had located the train’s black box, and preliminary reports suggest that speed may have been a factor in the deadly train crash.  The country’s busiest rail corridor, between Washington D.C. and New York, will remain closed as federal investigators attempt to determine what went wrong.
