SEM Company Reports on Possible NJ Bill To Prevent Children From Suing Divorced Parents for Tuition Costs

NJ Assemblyman, Chris Brown has announced his plan to sponsor legislation that would stop a child from suing divorced parents for college tuition costs.  Concern about this issue stems from last week’s Camden County Superior Judge ruling which stated that divorced parents must pay out of state tuition expenses for their child.  Brown asserts that this law would allow the divorced parents to refuse to pay for a child’s college tuition.  Assemblyman Brown states that he plans to introduce this legislation at some point over the next three weeks.
