Winter weather may be on the way and may potentially disrupt holiday travel on the busiest travel day of the year. AAA estimates that 46 million Americans travel 50 miles or more for the Thanksgiving holiday, the majority by car. Meteorologists are predicting the possibility of a Nor’ Easter developing off the coast and impacting New Jersey on Wednesday afternoon and evening.
A Winter Storm Watch has already been issued for Bergen, Sussex, Morris, Essex and Warren counties, and additional watches may be issued as the forecast develops. Exact snow totals are not known, but the National Weather Service has said that several inches are possible.
