Actor and comedian, Chris Rock has filed for divorce from his wife of nineteen years. Rock filed his request with the Superior Court of New Jersey on December 23rd. In his filing he states that his wife, Malaak Compton-Rock has kept his two daughters (ages 10 and 12) from him and has asked for joint physical and legal custody. The papers filed cite “irreconcilable differences” as the cause for the divorce. Rock and his wife had a premarital agreement when they married in 1996, but it has since expired due to a Sunset Provision. Chris Rock is requesting equitable distribution of their property.
