The first person to be diagnosed with Ebola in the United States succumbed to the fatal disease this morning. The male patient had recently returned from Liberia and initially went to a Texas hospital presenting with symptoms consistent with Ebola. Sadly, an ER nurse did not share with other hospital staff the fact that the man was recently in West Africa. As a result of the medical mistake, the man was initially mis-diagnosed and not immediately treated for Ebola.
